Course Description This conference will provide presentations on a variety of issues that physicians encounter in their practice of medicine. The program will provide the latest practical information on the diagnosis and management of various illnesse and symptoms.
Educational Objective The intent of this course is to review and provide current concepts on problems of concern to the pediatrician and other physicians who care for infants, children and adolescents. Emphasis is placed on problems encountered in the office practice. At the conclusion of the program, physicians should be: * Aware of recent advances that affect his/her practice of medicine. * Have an updated approach to various situations that may arise in his/her private Practice. * Versed in how to avoid common causes of diagnostic error.
Accreditation This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essentials and Standards of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Academy of Pediatrics, Hawaii Chapter. The American Academy of Pediatrics is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The American Academy of Pediatrics designates this educational activity for up to 3.5 credit hours in category 1 credit towards the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only thos hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
This activity is acceptable for up to 3.5 AAP credit hours. These credits can be applied toward the PREP Education Award available to Fellows and Candidate Fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
